We are Shaun and Christen Murphy, proud owners of Caring Transitions of Waterloo & Mount Vernon, IL. Our journey into Caring Transitions stems from our passion for helping others during life's most challenging moments. After spending years working in the renovation business with our company, Murphy Cleanout Services, we saw firsthand the overwhelming stress that comes with downsizing, moving, and managing personal belongings. This experience made us realize how important it is to have a compassionate and organized team to support individuals and families during these transitions.

Before diving into Caring Transitions, I, Christen, worked as an ESL teacher, helping both young students and adults achieve their goals. Teaching gave me a strong foundation for listening to people’s needs and finding ways to help them move forward. Shaun, with his extensive background in the oil and gas industry, has always had a knack for project management and problem-solving, which translates perfectly into helping families plan and execute smooth transitions. We’ve been working together as a team for years, and the skills we’ve honed are now being applied to a new mission—helping our community navigate life’s transitions with care and understanding.

We believe that everyone deserves a positive and stress-free experience when it comes to downsizing, relocating, or managing estates. We want to be more than just a service provider — we want to be a partner that families can trust during difficult times.
